Labor is always a good weekend. Typically it consists of friends and BBQ. This year was a nice change of pace. It was family and a cruise. I love my friends, but family is the best. Now being married, I have more family than I ever did before. On Sunday, Tracy's cousin had a b-day party on a cruise that sailed from NJ to the Statue of Liberty. Seeing the statue is not a big deal as I have seen it before and lived in New York. I am a savvy veteran when it comes to NYC. However, I have never seen the statue like this before. Cruising from the South with the day fading to night, the lighting was magnificent. It was really beautiful. Adding to the mood was the beautiful skyline of Manhattan. I believe only Hong Kong's skyline can compete with NYC, but it still cannot match up. While looking at the skyline, I was thinking to myself how peaceful it looked, but how crazy it was inside the streets. The cruise was very unique and a great experience to view NYC like this. It is something I would do again, but not sure if I will have the opportunity. I have other places to see.
