Summer Time

My summer break is quickly coming to an end. What should be my last official summer break, I can say it was truly fantastic. I did so much this summer. From Jamaica to Hershey, PA, I have done a lot. That, however; is no reason to stop. With three more weekends to spend, I will spend time with the new family, attend a black cake ceremony for my marriage, and go hang out in Baltimore for the first time. If you do not know, Baltimore is known for their crab cakes. I am definitely dabbling in those bad boys. The after dominating my fantasy football draft, I will begin year 2 dental school. Woo woo!!

City of Worst Drivers

I am sick and tired of the stupidity of Philadelphia drivers. In all of my life I have never seen drivers so idiotic and in their own world. And I have been to Bangkok, Manila, and other Asian countries where it is very congested and you have to be on your toes to navigate, but at least there is not a common stupor that governs the roads. Every day I see something new. I wish I had the skill to relive them with words, but I do not. I even struggle painting the picture with words. It is one thing that you have to experience in order to believe. On second thought, no, you do not want to experience it. All it will do is drive you mad as you grow bitter.
With that, I have now ranked Philadelphia as the #1 city of the worst drivers. They over take New Jersey (it is a state, but who cares) after 4 years of being number one. So here they are ladies and gentlemen, the top 5 cities/areas of the world's worst drivers.

#5 San Francisco Bay Area - These drivers make the list because they live and die by the 80/20 rule. They travel at a velocity of 80 mph, slam on the brakes, and reduce their velocity to 20 mph. This is due to people changing lanes for no reason and no knowing how to properly merge off and onto the highway.

#4 Manila Philippines - There is congestion and traffic. However, these drivers are truly nuts. They win #4 based on one taxi drivers move where I was in the front seat. Imagine 7th Ave and 42nd in New York, but bidirectional. You are in a car stop at a red light at 42nd in the far right lane traveling towards 41st. Your destination is across the street on the corner of 42nd and 7th Ave, but on the other side of the street. The light turns green and the Taxi speeds across the intersection in a diagonal direction, swerves to miss oncoming cars that accelerated to make it uptown, and skids out on the corner sidewalk. Now, that is a crazy driver.

#3 New York - See #3, but now imagine a stream of yellow cabs crowding the streets. The swerving in and out of traffic with or without signals, sudden jerks to miss pedestrians, and hard brake action makes this city of drivers #3. One could argue that New York is just crowed and this makes the drivers aggressive. Yes, this is true, but if you come from Our Little Town, South Dakota, I am sorry, you are not making it in this city. Driving is like a video game, but these people will cut you off in a heart beat.

#2 New Brunswick (i.e. all of New Jersey) - Good driver know how to not use their brakes. At all cost, they will use the laws of mechanics to pace their car. Oh, but not in New Jersey. You can be in a wide open highway with one car in front of you as you are traveling about 70 mph. Then out of the blue, the car in front of you puts on their brakes. There is nobody in front of them and there was not a deer that crossed the road. They simply and inexplicably put on their brakes. What does this do? Make you put on your brakes. After a 4 year run, this state of breakers have met their match.

#1 Philadelphia Metro - No words to describe. You just have to come visit and experience the city of the most stupid people of the world.

True or Untrue

Here we go again in this country. They claim to have stopped "Terrorists" from blowing up planes with hydrogen peroxide. Now, from what I understand, this chemical can make big bombs. However, the reaction from our government is a bit absurd in my honest opinion. Currently, you can no longer take on toothpaste, deodorant, cologne, hot sauce, hair moose, or any liquid as above. Are you kidding me? You are going to make people throw these things out. This is so ridiculous. Do you not think, if I saw people taking out Gatorade size bottles from their bag, begin mixing them together and then running wire from the solution to a digital camera that I would allow them to continue. No, and nor would anybody else. This is so far fetch it really insults the common sense of people.

So Britain thwarts a "Terrorist" plot and then your boy, not my boy, George Bush comes on the air talking about "Stark reminders". This has been comical. The government raises and lowers Red, Orange, Magenta, Black terror warning anytime they want. They continue to scare people from flying. They also always use 9/11 as the reason for everything we do. Why must we continue to live in fear. I for one do not. I do not believe anything the government says or does. It is almost all lies if you ask me. What we receive from officials are cliches and half truths. It is worst then watching a halftime interview of Lebron James of a basketball game. They guard their speak so much, I begin to laugh.

Do you realize that the US has been involve in all the world's major conflicts? We have 9/11 in New York, Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Lebanon. Oh, but don't you worry. We are protecting Americans and promoting freedom. Promoting freedom that the hundreds of thousand innocent people will never get to experience from our own terror.

I love my country, but we have a body of officials that are ruining it. It is time for people to rise, take a stand and clean up this mess. George Bush must go and all of his cronies. It must not stop there. We need to get deeper. The sad part of this is that in all honesty, the corrupt government will never be able to be cleaned. It is a sad day in America.
