There has been a common theme lately. This is the cost of food today. It is truly ridiculous how prices have increased. Either you call it inflation or you call it people are too proud of their products. When did a bean burrito from taco bell cost $1.39? I went to taco bell for the first time in 6 months yesterday and my standard meal now costs $6.00. This is 2 been burritos and a nacho supreme. Bullshit I say!!!! This used to coast $3.50 at the most.
The price of a 20 oz. coke is not $1.50 minimum. I refuse to pay this much money for a refreshment. Especially when I can go buy a 2 liter bottle of a soda for less than $1 at target. I believe these companies or stores think that I am a fool to buy the overpriced item.
I went to one of the cafeteria's at UPenn. I saw a Sobe and thought that it would be tasty. I had a $3.50 cold pre-made sandwich in my hand (rip off too) and the Sobe going to the cashier. He entered the items and told me, "$6.00". I stuttered, "Whaa...whaa.aaa.tttt?". That fool told me the price again, but I told him to keep the Sobe. I will be damned if I buy a $2.50 drink.
I am outraged by the price of food and drinks. It is just not right for these companies to charge as much as they do. I could continue with the price of food at supermarkets today, but I will refrain. Furthermore, I could go off on the lack increase in pay raises over the years. If I see food prices continue to rise I will go on a food strike. My only means of surviving will be coming over to your house to eat your food.
