There is one simple pleasure in life that many people tend to overlook. It is an event that allows you to enjoy nature, enjoy a cold brew, converse with friends and even spend time with family. I am not talking about an holiday like Thanksgiving. Holidays often lead to family drama of some sort. I am talking about the simple, but wonderful magic of Bar-b-queing. There are very few things that can beat a BBQ. This is true by the emotions I had this past weekend as I attended my first BBQ in more than 2 years. I was in Staten Island, the few places in NYC that you can enjoy the times in a back yard, queing it up. It was fantastic. The chicken flavor was saturating the air as the warm sun rays glistened the beautiful brown sking of my peoples. The brew was chilling in the frosty iced coolers. However, I was chillin more thinking of times past as my dad would make me break out the chemicals to clean the white plastic patio chairs. I was hepnotized by the sounds of Franky Beverly singing "Whoaeee whoa e ooooo e oooooo!" before "he let go" (not sure my non-black brethen can feel me on this one). Times like this make you live it up in the present, but also live in the past as all BBQs are great times. I know that when I leave NYC, the first thing that I am going to do is get a place next to some cool neighbors and buy a BBQ grill, get the black charcol, fire it up and watch the chicken smoke as I sind along to "A Funky Good Time" as I dig in the scene with a gansta lean whoo woooooo!

Mmmmm, I'm gonna fire up the little Weber grill tonight....if it doesn't rain that is.
Hey it looks like that nutbag writer "Hunter Thompson" is/was a Lakers fan too at one point. At least until Malone and Payton joined. (2nd graph)

"...as the warm sun rays glistened the beautiful brown sking of my peoples".
I hope you don't mean "skiing", cuz seeing your brown ass "snowboarding" was something awful that shook the mountain when you took those big spills. We felt every one of those ground shaking thuds when you would catch an edge and all 315 lbs would hit that ice. But you are a champ and you kept rolling. Cheers to that.
