I've made a pact with myself to blog at least 4 times a week.

Nobody said anything about any sprayed on tans. Angie is ugly because her limbs look like dead sticks, her veins are protruding like a 110 year olds, and her neck looks so skinny that its a wonder she can hold her head up. Nobody has noticed the lack of a sprayed on tan but you. The rest of us are having too much trouble seeing past her skeletal body and those hideous protruding veins.

My Father was schooled at the Henry Ford Trade School, today the Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan. I must admit that I am woefully lacking in knowledge about the stock market, commodities, bonds and international lending. This program which Mr. Ferguson has created was presented in a way even I could follow and understand, I am amazed at what I had been missing with regards to my money and how it works in the world economy. I am defintely going to have my adult children watch this program in hopes it will explain all they would need for a basic understanding of the worlds economy. Kudos to Mr. Ferguson on an excellent presentation.

Finally, people SHOULD learn to do things by hand and head first, then move up to a calculator. I dont know about classrooms today, but when I had to take algebra, calculus, and statistics, I had to SHOW MY WORK. This not only forced me to think, but also proved useful when I had to take a number of tests in order to get a job (whether its taking a test for CPA, bookkeeper, or for a government job, youre not allowed the use of aids like calculators or slide rules; all youre allowed is good old pencil and paper).

Even with as big a Disney fan as I am, I had never seen any of the Davy Crockett movies before this came out. Id seen pictures and heard stories of the Crockett craze, but had no idea what these movies were really all about.This set of DVDs contains all five of the Davy Crockett episodes from the TV show Disneyland as they originally aired. This includes the opening show animation, Walts intros and outros, and promos for next weeks episode. They are presented here unedited and in their original order. Leonard Maltin introduces each episode and hosts the interviews on the second disc. Of those, the one about the Davy Crockett craze is ok, but hearing Fess Parkers memories is interesting, especially to a Disney fan like me. The picture and sound quality is great for something from the 50s, although I did notice that the picture does go to black and white once per episode.Watching these for the first time over the weekend, I was captivated by the movies. The scenery is beautiful and the acting is good. There are a couple spots where a couple stories seem to drag, but they never last long. My favorites are the two on the second disc, particularly the keel boat race. Still, I plan to rewatch all the episodes on these DVDs many more times.Any Disney fan will be pleased to have these in their collection. They are a fun trip to yesteryear for every generation to enjoy.

Hey Mark! Kathleen and I ran Stumpys too, and enjoyed the race, though it was harder than I had thought it would be. In case you dont remember me, I had on the Boston jacket at the start, and you asked me what year it was Great rock for a medal! Also, we were saved by another dawg, when we started to get lost about mile 15??? No trail markings for about 5 miles or more, nor aid stations for about a 7 mile stretch? Nonetheless, there is a great deal to recommend this fun jaunt in the woods.

FOJS is taking a plan used by the Baltimore Symphony and tailoring it to the needs of the Jacksonville Symphony. The musicians are counting on it and have returned to work. There will be challenges along the way and bumps in the road but the financial goal set for FOJS will be reached. We can either join them and help meet those goals or get out of their way.
