I Think I'm Going to Quit My Job

My friend keeps saying "speak your truth," and it's finally got to me.
My truth is I dislike corporate life greatly and would rather flounder in financial ruin while following my bliss.
It's when you take risks like the above that good things happen, says friend.
But, like, shouldn't I have A Plan?

you've made your own bed ... you talk shit about following your muse, but will be getting your misplaced ass grabbed by your annoyingly boring corporate co-workers until you are 63 years old. Ahh, what could have been ... Does she have the courage to make a stand? Does she? Please prove to me you do.

erinsboy:

Hey, if you are still getting your assed grabbed at 63, you've GOT to be doing something right.

Sheila:

Have you read The Alchemist? (It sounds as though your friend has.) It's a simple fable (and maybe a bit cheesy), but still it's a lovely book. It's about listening to your heart and following your dream, even if that seems difficult or impossible. I received the book as a gift last year, and I read it while on a Business Trip From Hell in Japan. It was then that I decided to quite my job and go to India to study yoga. It's taken a year of preparation, but I'm ready to do it :) Needless to say, I'm very excited.

Debbie:

Thanks for your support, dorkmonkey.

Sheila: I needed to hear your story! Thanks! Gives me hope for my muse-less self.

There are no words to descrbie how bodacious this is.
