BAD WIFE?
Am I? I think maybe. My husband plays a lot of sports (oh Lord! He just called weakly from the bedroom, asking for Ramen noodles, and see? I'm mean and crotchety because I feel irritation flashes!) and he goes all out and then screws himself up, putting out a back here, flaring up an Achilles tendon there...
And it's like, prepare honey! Stretch! Do my Rodney Yee yoga tapes! Don't enter a back-to-back paddleball AND racquetball tournament ON THE SAME DAY without TRAINING AT ALL and expect lubed and cooperating muscles!
I've bought too many Icy Hots, hand-fed too many Ibuprofen, second-sipped too many Gatorades over the years because you have too much testosterone and too little preparation!
Today, he played paddleball from 7-11:30, then went right into a racquetball tournament and between games, at about 1:30 he jumps up in pain as both of his hamstrings started firing...
So he's all "Help me honey! Help me!" and I'm going running for that cursed Gatorade, a banana and gallons of water. I will stop here for a moment to state a point: up til 1:30, he had not drunk water or Gatorade or have ANYTHING to eat but ONE Power Bar. The whole time! What, what does he expect!
Did I mention he is 40! AND A HALF?!!!
Oh geez, I have to go. He's sitting at the edge of the bed behind me with his head in his hands.
In closing, all I have to say is I love my husband. But why won't he do my yoga tapes?

Because it's not sport? I don't understand it, but then again, here i am in a country that goes insane over Aussie-rules and yoga seems to be an excuse (for women, naturally) to get the latest terry-toweled outfit from the hip pj-design house whose ads take up half of Cosmopolitan.
Not that i'm necessarily stating the boundaries, it just seems like that sometimes.
