This will be the second time in five years that my friend Mike has asked me about my own birthday that is supposed to be a surprise (I think it's supposed to be a surprise).
My 30th birthday he asked me what time we were meeting at the restaurant for my party and the second time, just now, he's all, "What is this about the wine tasting?"
Then, when I say, "What wine tasting?" he fumbles and is like "Oh. Dec. 20 at Pachanga Casino."
Too many details is the nemesis of a good lie.
Anyway Mike: brilliant lawyer. Moronic friend.
